Jerry Jackman is armed with a degree from Oklahoma State Technical Institute in Automotive Mechanics and Machine Shop. He was on the Dean's List, so don't let the looks fool you. This guy is smart!

Jerry worked days at an auto shop and nights and weekends in the bike shop behind his house. He did this for 20 long years (had to build up capital some how).

In June of 2000, with the huge demand for quality motorcycle repair in the Washington D.C. area, Jerry decided to go full bore and opened Jackman Custom Cycle at its present location in Gaithersburg, Maryland.

Jackman's provides its customers with one-of-a-kind custom bikes as well as top-of-the-line motorcycle performance and repair.

Paul Fuhrmann of Fuhrmann Fabrications has joined the Jackman Crew! Paul really brings something special to the shop. Although I'm not sure exactly what that is yet.No really Paul is an excellent mechanic and his fabrication work is amazing. He is in an exhaust faze or should I say haze right now and turning out some of the coolest pipes with unbelievable sound. Oh man, can this dude weld!Talk about a beautiful bead. You need to come check this out for yourself. Paul is also the shop mediator and referee.

I've been into Harley's since I was a kid. I met Jerry on a Thurdsay in the early 80's. I quit my job on Friday, left for Bike Week that night and haven't looked back. I started riding solo in the mid 80's, on a Sportster, then a 79 Superglide, and on to a Roadking with a sidecar(for the kids)and a few customs in between. Sold the sidecar kept the RK and now I'm back on an old Shovel. I get motorcycles like most women get jewelry, I'm not complaining. A few years ago Jerry came home and informed me I was webmaster of the shops new website. I'm learning as I go. I also do the books, the filing,reception,shipping, & receiving, photographer,(I'm not that good) merchandising,& anything else that need to be done.(I'm good at all that) OK, now you have my resume. If you have a job available, all I require is a desk with a computer and a phone that is not across the room. Think I deserve a promotion, maybe to office manager with a raise. Damn! I'm just happy when I get to write myself a check.
